About me

My name is Magdalena Sanders, and I just love to bake and decorate cakes.

I grew up in Poland, where every mother, grandma, or auntie bakes all kinds of delicious treats from scratch for everyday or an occasion. I watched my mom do her magic, loving every bit of a pastry, a cake, a cookie, or a pie, she created.

When I moved to United States, I was overwhelmed by a completely different school of baking. At first, I had some objections, which melted pretty quickly with the first bite of my mother’s-in-law fudge.

I started studying all kinds of recipes, adjusting levels of sugar and food coloring to my taste. While American recipes mostly consist of cake and frosting, Polish cakes are almost always layered and topped with fruit.

Now I can tell, that my style is a fusion between Polish and American baking.
